partypoker WPT Prague down to final six

By Mad Harper

The partypoker WPT Prague Festival of Poker €3,300 Main Event is down to the final six. The popular Christmas stop at the Grandior Hotel Prague attracted 167 entries creating a $551,100 prize pool with $145,420 for first. Oleg Vasylchenko led the way into Day 3 and he maintains a strong lead over the field with over 1.5 million chips, more than double the chips of his nearest challenger. Can the Ukrainian see it out, or will one of the other players – each from different countries – take it down? Whatever happens, this will be Vasylchenko’s biggest payday to date: his previous best cash was tenth at EPT Deauville last year and he’s guaranteed at least $25,872 here in Prague.

Among the 15 players who have already paid a visit to the cash desk are popular online poker coach Alex "Assassinato" Fitzgerald who finished eighth for $17,204, Marc-Olivier Carpentier, Dmitry Gromov and Marc Macdonnell. WPT ambassador Tony Dunst finished ten off the money.

Play resumes at 2.00pm local time (CET) with the action continuing to a finish. With hour long levels until heads-up reduces that to 30 minutes, cards will be in the air just after lunchtime here in Prague. Who will be helping themselves to the biggest portion of the remaining prize-pool on offer?

Here are the players in seat order, with their chip counts at the start of play, with blinds returning to 12,000/24,000/3,000.
