Goliath set for July 26 kick off at Ricoh Arena

The biggest live poker event in Europe is just a few months away! The Goliath at the Ricoh Arena starts July 26 and is a chance for players of all kinds to compete in the mammoth Main Event for just £100 + £25.

The Goliath Main Event, which comes with a guaranteed first prize of £100,000, features seven start flights and headlines 11 days of rip-roaring action – so get yourself booked in early to avoid disappointment.

Grosvenor Ambassador Jeff Kimber said: “It’s a great tournament. You’ve got the best quality dealers, the best quality tournament staff. It’s a big like the World Series of Poker coming to the UK.”

The Goliath has broken records every year and last year’s event was the biggest yet, with an field of 6,385 entries, creating a mammoth £638,500 prize pool shared out among 682 players. Numbers were up 20% on 2016.

This year’s Goliath promises to be even bigger, with legions of poker players – from first-timers to seasoned poker pros - preparing to descend on the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

As well as the Main Event, there are numerous other events on the schedule including several Redtooth Poker events. The flagship Redtooth Poker €25,000 guarantee, £80 + £15 buy-in “The Big One” will take place at the GUKPT Goliath on July 28. On the Sunday there’s a £30 + £10 buy-in Win the Button tournament as well as the Vegas 100 & £3,000 Redtooth tournament.

Also on the schedule are a ton of Flip ‘n’ Go tourneys, the National 25/50 Event, the Grosvenor UK Women’s Poker Championship and Senior Poker Championship, several European Championship Of Amateur Poker events including the International Team Championship, a tag team tourney, a £335 buy-in Super High Roller and a 4/5/6 Omaha tourney.
