WSOP Circuit & 888poker debut event in Argentina

By Mad Harper

For the first time in World Series of Poker history, the WSOP Circuit will be heading to Argentina with 888poker as official WSOPC sponsors for the second consecutive year.

Don’t miss the chance to see Iguazu Falls, one of the seven wonders of the world!

Check out MainEventTravel’s great hotel options in this amazing location with rooms from as little as $390 for the full duration of the festival.

The seven-day WSOPC Argentina poker festival will be held at Casino Iguazú from August 2-8 close to both the majestic Iguazú Falls and the border with Brazil.

The schedule will feature six championship ring events including the Crazy Eights Side Event and $1k Main Event. Players will be able to qualify for events online at 888poker via satellites and feeder tournaments starting at just $0.01. A $2,500 package includes Main Event entry + 3 hotel nights + travel expenses.

Not surprisingly, 888poker is excited about both expanding its presence in South America and its ongoing partnership with WSOP, which also includes a third straight year in Vegas.

888 Senior Vice President Itai Pazner said: "We are very excited and proud to be bringing the most popular poker series in the world to the renowned Casino Iguazú, one of the most acclaimed casinos in South America. This is an amazing opportunity to be part of the world’s biggest and most prestigious live tournament, from as little as 1¢. I wish all our players the best of luck!"

WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart is also thrilled to showcase the WSOP Circuit in Argentina for the first time. "The first ever WSOP Circuit in Argentina is the latest development for the Series. We are thrilled to reach South America with this exciting event in Argentina. We are optimistic the event will be well supported and we can continue to host bigger and better events each year."
