The Goliath is a massive festival running from July 25 to August 2 and is now the biggest tournament outside of the USA. The event has grown every year since its launch in 2011 and last year smashed records yet again with a massive 7,500 entries for the Main Event.

Myriad side events including 25/50 and Super High Roller
Held every year at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, the Goliath is a massive festival and there are myriad side events to tempt players of all kinds outside of the Main Event.

The festival kicks off with the National 25/50 Event from July 24 to 28. The £200+25 buy-in tournament comes with a £50,000 guarantee and four starting flights (including an online only Day 1a). Players get a 25,000 starting stack with 40 minute levels for the live Day 1s and final day. British player Ryan Meager won last year’s event for £34,350 after beating a 657-strong field.

Also on the schedule is the two-day £300 + £35 Super High Roller from August 3-4. Last year’s event attracted nearly 300 entries with Britain’s Jarrett Owen snagging £20,000 and the trophy for his biggest ever live cash.
