GUKPT: Next stop Walsall

It's off to the Midlands for the GUKPT with  £100k guarantee GUKPT Walsall from April 23-30.

MainEventTravel.com now sponsors GUKPT’s all-in triangles so look out for them at GUKPT Walsall and GUKPT Reading from May 21-28. The Grosvenor UK Student Poker Championship runs April 18-23.

 

First up is the £10k guarantee GUKPT Walsall Mini Main event starting at noon on Sunday, April 23. There’s also a £20 + £6 super satellite at 7.30pm with ten seats for the £550 Main Event guaranteed. The GUKPT Walsall Main Event kicks off on April 27 and comes with a £100,000 guarantee.

 

Scottish player Paul Green won the last GUKPT in Edinburgh for £17,500 after cutting a four-way deal. Green, a regular in Edinburgh events, now has over $100k in live tournament winnings. There were 227 entries in total, smashing the guarantee with a prize pool of £113,500. Sin Melin was the last woman standing, and finished ninth for £2,390.

 

 

2017 is the GUKPT’s 11th consecutive season and promises to provide another record breaking year with a packed schedule and £1.8 million in Main and Mini Main guarantees. There will be nine legs in total this year before the GUKPT Grand Final takes place at The Poker Room above the iconic Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London in November.
