888poker LIVE’s new UK Poker League starts this week

There is already a huge buzz regarding the launch this week of 888poker LIVE’s new UK Poker League in Coventry. The £560 Main Event starts on Thursday with a bunch of other exciting side events on the schedule as well.

The UKPL is a series of live festivals that are taking place in various Grosvenor Casinos across the country. It’s the first time that 888poker LIVE has run a poker league in the UK. The new tour will have its own UKPL leaderboard and all points accumulated will also count towards Grosvenor’s acclaimed National Poker League.

In addition to the £560 Main Event, other tournaments on the UKPL’s debut event in Coventry include the £250 Opening Voyage with three starting flights, a £1,100 High Roller, the £400 Big Shot, £150 Seniors event and £200 Closer.

All Main Events will cost £560 to enter. In addition to the forthcoming Coventry festival, the new tour will also be heading to Edinburgh in February, Luton in March, Manchester in April, Leeds in August and London in September. The Grand Final will be held next October in Coventry.
