- Q: Is the MainEventTravel.com site secure?
A: The website has been developed with your privacy and security in mind and employs the latest settings and practices. All financial transactions are completed through a secure 3rd party provider, either Paypal or Sagepay.
- Q: What are my payment options?
A: We currently accept payment via Visa Debit, Visa Credit, Visa Electron and Mastercard. Please note that a card handling fee will be applied for credit cards (max 1.5%). We also accept payment via direct Bank Transfer
- Q: How and when is my credit / debit card charged for a hotel reservation?
A: When your package involves a hotel reservation made with us, the payment is taken in full at the time of booking by ourselves (or if partial payment is made, the reservation is confirmed only after full payment of any outstanding balance is received). The hotel may request your credit / debit card details upon checking into the hotel which is held against your room. You will then be required to settle the bill at the time of check out directly with the hotel for any purchases charged to your room.
On rare occasions we may request your credit / debit card details and pass these on to the hotel at the time of booking, where the hotel will charge you for the reservation, not us, however if this happens your confirmation e-mail will advise of this. If you do not arrive at the hotel, they have the right to charge you for at least one night's accommodation.

A: Of course. The packages advertised directly on the MainEventTravel.com site are a reflection of the more popular UK, European and International live poker events. We have the ability to arrange your travel and hospitality requirements for a wide spectrum of Poker events, be that major calendar sessions abroad, or smaller regional events at premier private poker clubs. If you don’t find what you are looking for please contact us directly and we would be happy to help create your desired package.
- Q: Can I book on behalf of a group of poker players?
A: Absolutely. Our site offers the flexibility for an individual to book equivalent packages on behalf of multiple players in a group. Better yet there is flexibility in terms of confirming fully payment, just in case all elements of your group are not yet organised. Please see our Group Bookings section for further guidance or contact our Sales Team directly
- Q: Is there a limit on group size?

- Q: I want to be able to arrange a package from outside the UK, is this possible?
A: Certainly! Whether you are an international customer or you have travelled abroad through one of our existing packages, we can arrange you a bespoke package from wherever you are!

- Q: What happens if we have non-players who want to join a group?
A: No problem. Our packages are flexible enough so that non-Poker player members in your group can be accommodated (e.g. accommodation only options). If speaking directly with our Sales Team please let us know so we can be sure to make suitable arrangements and even offer something to keep them occupied whilst you are at the tables.
- Q: When I prepay my tournament buy in, how is this confirmed at the Event?
A: We offer buy in as a service to our clients on behalf of the tournament/event organiser for some events. After confirmation of your package your details will be forwarded to the tournament/event organiser who will then confirm directly with you via email. (This should be expected within 24 hours of your booking confirmation.)
- Q: Are there age restrictions for poker events and do I need a valid form of I.D?
A: There are usually policies and age restrictions for entry and participation of poker tournaments which are usually at the discretion of the casino and the poker tour. The specific details can be found directly via the website of the casino.
Which form of identification required is also at the discretion of the casino but generally, valid forms of ID include:
- Passport
- Photo Driving Licence
- Q: Can I amend or upgrade my hotel booking?
A: If you wish to make any amendments to your booking, for example if you wish to alter your dates or upgrade your room type, please email providing your booking reference number. This will ensure that our customer service team has the relevant information required to process your request efficiently.
Please note, whilst we will do everything we can to accommodate your request, we cannot guarantee it will be possible. Please also be aware there is a possibility that a change may incur an additional charge by the hotel itself; if this is the case we will notify you of any such charge.
- Q: Can I cancel my package booking?
A: It is possible for you to amend numbers or cancel your package booking at any time provided that the person originally booking the package sends us an email in advance of any deadline noted with the specific package terms. Please note there is a £30 cancellation fee per person for amendments or cancellations within the valid period. Amendments or cancellations after this period will result in loss of all monies paid or due at that time. For further details please see our Terms & Conditions.
- Q: Do the accommodation packages include meals?
A: If meals are included in the price, this will be stated in the 'Details' section on the website once the package has been selected. The type of board provided at hotels is explained below:
Room only:
This means that your room is only included in the price you have paid.
Bed and Breakfast:
This means that your breakfast is included in the price you have paid.
Half board:
This means that your breakfast and evening meal is included in the price you have paid.
In some cases you can choose to receive lunch instead of breakfast but the hotel will confirm this upon your arrival.
Full board:
This means that all meals during the duration of your stay (breakfast, lunch, evening meal) are included in the price that you have paid.
- Q: Are you licensed to sell Pokerstars packages?
A: Euro Poker Tour Ltd (EPTL) has granted this website a license to promote packages which include buy-in to one or more of the various Pokerstars.com European Poker Tour. However, the packages which are offered by us are conducted at our own and absolute responsibility.
